RBMA    Share   Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Seriously, we want to know. As an association, RBMA strives to provide members with resources that meet their business needs and enhance their professional growth. Once a year, we reach out to our members and ask them how we are doing. With your feedback, we can measure members' satisfaction with our services, identify opportunities for additional member benefits and design resources that address concerns and needs you may be facing in the future.

Completing the Annual Members Assessment is easy and will take approximately 15 minutes. Members who complete the evaluation will be entered into a drawing to win a free RBMA conference registration! The deadline for completion is July 31.

If you have not already participated, please email cynthia.vervena@rbma.org to obtain the link to the survey.

At times, being a leader and dealing with group dynamics can be like climbing Mount Everest. Join Joseph P. White, MBA, CPA, and Neeraj Chepuri, MD, for a half-day pre-conference session that will engage students in role playing one of five roles on an expedition team of hikers attempting to summit the mountain. Individuals must learn to strategize, analyze and communicate within their team to ultimately climb through five camps over six simulated days and successfully reach the top. This exercise will teach teams how to deal with group dynamics and expose the challenges and negative consequences that can occur if they fail to communicate and analyze as a team.

Managers are encouraged to attend with their physicians, forming a team that will test and reinforce how to best lead a practice from the top. Special team pricing is available.

CMS takes feedback to modify PET agent review process
Aunt Minnie (registration required)    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Agreeing to a request from five medical imaging organizations, the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has begun taking public comment on a proposal to streamline the process by which PET imaging agents are reviewed and approved for reimbursement. In a March 30 letter, the organizations stated that "recent advances in imaging and CMS' past experience with PET coverage no longer support a clinical rationale for a pre-emptive national noncoverage policy for new PET radiopharmaceutical agents that undergo rigorous (FDA) review and approval." Health Imaging    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
The Chinese government's large investment in bridging the gap in healthcare quality between rural and urban hospitals will be the largest driver of growth in the Chinese diagnostic imaging market, according to Millennium Research Group.
