Mission-Critical Documentation & Training

Sept, 13
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. CT

This session is specifically targeted to radiologists and all support staff who play a role in physician documentation and will focus on why and how physician involvement is so indispensable to the success of your transition to ICD-10-CM; detailed guidance with the information required for correct ICD-10-CM code assignments, as well as to support code selection in the event of a claim review or audit; and tools and techniques, including the use of quick-reference guides and mini-chart audits that can reveal lack of justification for code assignments.

RBMA members will receive a discount of 10 percent off individual sessions. Click here to find out how to apply for the discounted rate.

Participate in RBMA's patient steerage mini-Survey
RBMA    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Our members report that, with increasing use of radiology benefit managers, they are experiencing increasing steerage of patients to other facilities. Steerage is defined for this mini-Survey as the active or passive direction of patients referred for imaging services by RBMs or commercial insurers.

The mini-Survey collects information on whether and when steerage occurs, its impact on business operations and procedure volumes, and characteristics of patients being steered to specific facilities.

Please click here to access the mini-Survey.

Completion of the mini-Survey should require no more than 15 minutes of your time. The mini-Survey will be open for participation until Sept. 28.

Doctors shift focus to compliance as ICD-10 deadline set
American Medical News    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Now that organized medicine has secured a one-year delay in the deadline for moving to the ICD-10 diagnostic coding system, physicians and hospitals turn their attention to the work of transitioning from ICD-9. Aunt Minnie (registration required)    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Dashboards and scorecards providing tangible measures of performance can serve as a potent defense for radiologists against forces that are attempting to loosen their control over medical imaging, according to PACS pioneer Dr. Paul Chang.
