Planning the Perfect Electronic Health Record Systems Implementation
ASPYRA, LLC
When we hear Electronic Health Record, we think of the digital equivalent of the old paper jacket, but what is called an Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system can be only part of the information that would have been included. Your EHR / EMR will need to connect to other systems to provide complete information. Consider the types of information you have and need to keep, what other facilities you need to send to or receive from, and the capabilities of the equipment and systems you currently have. Interfaces will be vital in communicating between them.

Even though practices have experienced a reprieve this year, the implementation of ICD-10 will be here before we know it. Take advantage of the extra time to follow through on everything you need to do to prepare for the change.

To make it a little easier, RBMA has launched a new ICD-10 Forum so members may talk to each other and to industry experts online who can help guide the process. RBMA Forums are included in active membership. Members may sign their staff up for the Forums for a nominal fee.

In addition to the new Forum, RBMA hosts a list of resources on our website. Our partners provide helpful resources to RBMA members, like the ICD10monitor. The ICD10monitor portal contains articles, webcasts, books, live talks and the latest news on the upcoming ICD-10 implementation.
