This short mini-Survey was designed to gauge the status of implementation of the EHR Incentive Program among RBMA member practices. CMS revises place of service policy for teleradiology again

According to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' Transmittal 2563, its clarified place of service policy is now scheduled for implementation on April 1, 2013. The policy seeks to resolve confusion arising from how to bill for diagnostic tests in teleradiology situations where the technical component is furnished in one place and the radiologist's read or professional component is furnished in another place. Governors will eventually succumb to pressure to expand their Medicaid programs, a pair of healthcare experts predicted, arguing that the prospect of medical practices going out of business will force their hands.
