The RBMA Quest Awards is a program recognizing those who have excelled in their marketing programs.

The 10th annual Quest Awards Ceremony will be held March 17, 2015, at RBMA's Building Better Radiology Marketing Programs in New Orleans, La.

The RBMA Quest Awards recognize those individuals who have excelled in their marketing efforts. Awards are given in seven categories: advertising, website design, patient marketing, physician marketing, cause-related marketing, ideas that wow and people's choice. Each category is recognized at three levels — gold, silver and bronze.

Applications for the 10th annual Quest Awards are now being accepted. Start collecting your best work and plan to submit for your chance to win the coveted RBMA Quest Award!

It's never too late to submit data to DataMAXX! You can still submit your 2012 or 2013 data to the Accounts Receivable and Compensation modules, in addition to 2013 Productivity data. Once your data have been accepted, you will be able to run structured queries to view up-to-date results for that module and data year.

Managing ICD-10 implementation doubt

As the House leadership counted up supporters and readied the $1.1 trillion, nine-month federal spending bill for a floor vote last week, the prospect that another congressional delay of ICD-10 implementation might be inserted in the massive bill seemed plausible enough that the American Health Information Management Association emailed members to urge them to contact the congressional leadership and lobby against another delay.

The long road to health information exchange

Health information exchange is turning out to be one of those really long journeys in which you hear the kids in the back seat asking, "Are we there
yet?" while the driver keeps saying, "Almost." The Office of the National Coordinator is focusing on the next 10 years with its soon-to-be-released road map to reach interoperability. As we await the March 2015 release, it is a good time to reflect on the 10 years since I pulled onto the HIE highway and share a few thoughts on the future.

Insurers ease 'Obamacare' deadline
The Associated Press via Miami Herald
Trying to head off a new round of consumer headaches with President Barack Obama's healthcare law, the insurance industry said it will give customers more time to pay their premiums for January. America's Health Insurance Plans, the main industry trade group, says the voluntary steps include a commitment to promptly refund any overpayments by consumers who switched plans and may have gotten double-billed by mistake.
