New web site and game to teach kids about healthy skin, hair and nail habits

A unique new Web site created by dermatologists lets kids learn how to practice good skin care virtually, or risk the consequences of pimples, greasy hair, a poison ivy rash and sunburn. The interactive game, "It's a Skin Cell’s Life," is just one of the many features on the American Academy of
Dermatology's (Academy) new Web site www.KidsSkinHealth.org, which provides information about caring for skin, hair and nails to kids ages 8-12 and their parents.

A cosmetic surgery expert has claimed that women are more likely to notice ageing around the eye area than their male counterparts. This, according to U.K. facelift surgeon Norman Waterhouse, is because men and women age in different ways. While men's faces tend to remain square regardless of their age, the shape of a woman's face tends to shift from oval to square as she gets older and skin begins to sag.

No one could blame James O'Neal for looking in the mirror a few times a day and admiring the contours of his face-chiseled jaw, straight nose, smooth planed
cheek. They are, after all, brand new. Disfigured by an 11-pound mass of tumors so large they dominated the left side of his face, O'Neal, 47, from Woodinville, Wash., had surgery in August to remove the tumors and to reconstruct his face.
