FreePromoTips.com has launched an education track called SuccessFit. This ongoing program presents information on how fitness impacts our personal lives and business success. Contributors include PPAI Hall of Fame inductee Paul Kiewiet, MAS, Executive Director of MIPPA and Brandon Mackay, MAS, President of SnugZ USA. In addition to free online content, the FreePromoTips SuccessFit Facebook Page has been created for people to share their own stories and daily successes and motivate others.

Facebook cracks down on promotional page posts

It’s good news if you’re an ordinary Facebook user — less so if you belong to the army of marketers filling up feeds with advertisements, competitions and other promotional material. Starting in January, Facebook plans to cut back drastically on the number of promotional posts seen by users who have "liked" a company page. Its research has revealed, perhaps counter-intuitively, that promotional posts are far more annoying than ads.

McDonald's recalls 2.3 million promotional toys

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced the recall of about 2.3 million promotional toys distributed by McDonald's in its Happy Meals and Mighty Kids Meals. The toys — Hello Kitty-themed whistles — feature detachable components that could pose a choking hazard to young children, according to the CPSC's recall notice. Another 200,000 units distributed in Canada were also recalled.
