Yahoo! Finance    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
If you already took advantage of the government's tax credit for first-time homebuyers - or are planning to do it anytime soon - you'll probably agree with this prediction: Sales of existing homes will peak in the final quarter of 2009, then begin a year-long slide, which is likely to be a sharp one, according to some estimates. Rick Perry after the state parole board recommended that the death sentence be commuted to life in prison. Commentary: Twists could still lie ahead in governor's race
The Austin American-Statesman    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
The 2010 Texas governor's race is shaping up nicely, but big twists could still happen. One would be state Sen. Eliot Shapleigh, D-El Paso, following his announcement that he won't seek re-election by saying he'll bid for governor. That's unfounded Capitol buzz for now; Shapleigh is unreachable, reportedly honeymooning on an island without a laptop. More
