Azle coach back at work, relaxed
Fort Worth Star-Telegram
In his upstairs office overlooking the basketball court, Azle coach Eddy Prather is at ease, watching film of his upcoming opponent, Saginaw Boswell.
Prather talks about his team's successes, how the Hornets are the 18th-ranked team in the latest Class 4A state poll and how he believes this team is in position for a school-record third consecutive district title. This is clearly Prather's comfort zone, which is why he came back as soon as he could.
On Jan. 13, Prather had prostate cancer surgery. Fortunately, the doctors caught it early enough that Prather didn't require follow-up chemotherapy or radiation treatment.More
