Texas legislators consider Firearms Protection Act
The New American
Even as elected representatives of the people of Colorado are busy trying to abridge the Second Amendment liberties in the "Centennial State," Texas legislators are preparing to fend off similar schemes by the federal government. As Bob Adelmann recently reported for The New American, the Democrat-controlled Colorado House of Representatives recently passed four bills that would significantly infringe on the free exercise of rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment and the passage of such sweeping legislation in that state seems a harbinger of things to come.

NASCAR finds a new friend and sponsor
Guns.com
The National Rifle Association is taking their sponsorship of NASCAR and the racing sports to a new level this year, grasping at a chance to re-brand the Sprint Cup Series 500 race on April 13, following Samsung's departure as the leading sponsor. It will be the first NRA 500. "We've had other offers but a lot of people wait and expect you to drop your price. That's not something we do. We're not going to be a discount speedway," said Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage, not revealing specific details.

How gun companies are standing up for the Second Amendment
Guns & Ammo
There are many similarities between the current wave of gun control insanity and the proposals by President Bill Clinton in the early 1990s. However, there is one fortunate difference in the latest battle: During the Clinton era, many firearm companies chose to remain silent, or even worse, forged a compromise with the administration.

SHOWCASE
FINALLY, a gun lubricant exists that can withstand the most extreme conditions.
After using Safari Charlie Gun Lube Plus, Floro Lavalle with Sierra Outfitters in Argentina reported cleanings were much easier, they were needed less frequently and field jamming went down to almost non-existent. While these statements may seem generic and boring, consider that they shoot on average 2000-5000 rounds per day per gun, OVER 1 MILLION ROUNDS PER YEAR, and pair that with Lavalle’s full season of using Safari Charlie Gun Lube Plus. His report was an 83% reduction in repair/replacement costs. MORE...

Few Texas gun owners seem to be sweating DC push for new limits
The Dallas Morning News
Here in gun country, all the talk in Washington, D.C., about background checks and banning firearms seems like just noise far, far away. "There's an attitude in Texas. We're a little bit complacent, because we don't feel they're going to come down here and do that to us," said Don "Dusty" Hathorne, a cowboy action shooter and staunch opponent of gun control. At the Texas State Rifle Association convention and gun show, the mass shooting at a Connecticut elementary school and a push by the White House and congressional Democrats to tighten gun laws were clearly on people's minds.

Firearms equality movement gaining momentum
Ammo Land
The newly emerged Firearms Equality Movement is gaining more steam among manufactures and gun rights supporters alike. The firearms industry, in reaction to the Governor of New York ramming through the NY SAFE Act which banned AR-15 style rifles, has seen multiple manufactures revise their firearms sales polices to restrict LEO and Police Agencies from only buying the same level of firepower as is allowed for the average citizen of their state.

Firearms debate: Meet the gun makers
USA Today
The boyish face could easily belong to one in the legion of young accountants or junior insurance executives who toil in the corporate corridors of the nearby state capital. There is barely a clue to his actual line of work until Mark Malkowski opens the door to a busy backroom in an unmarked building. There, in a snowbound industrial park on the edge of town, about a dozen people are now clocking 12-hour days to build the product at the heart of the nation's raging gun debate.
