With warmer days sweeping America, many gun ranges that were closed during the winter months have now reopened. Sporting clays is described as "golf with a shotgun." More

FINALLY, a gun lubricant exists that can withstand the most extreme conditions.
After using Safari Charlie Gun Lube Plus, Floro Lavalle with Sierra Outfitters in Argentina reported cleanings were much easier, they were needed less frequently and field jamming went down to almost non-existent. While these statements may seem generic and boring, consider that they shoot on average 2000-5000 rounds per day per gun, OVER 1 MILLION ROUNDS PER YEAR, and pair that with Lavalle’s full season of using Safari Charlie Gun Lube Plus. His report was an 83% reduction in repair/replacement costs. MORE...

Columbus Dispatch    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
April 8, 2012, marked the anniversary of a law that affects the lives of more than 270,000 Buckeyes. Ohio's concealed-handgun license law turned 8 years old that day. Notably absent from the festivities were blood in the streets, Wild West reenactments and an epidemic of accidental gun injuries. To understand the significance of this event and why it seems completely unremarkable, simply Google "Ohio concealed carry 2003" and prepare to be astonished. More

National Shooting Sports Foundation    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
In response to a recent op-ed in the Colorado Springs Gazette, NSSF would like to help clarify what the Target Practice and Marksmanship Training Support Act will accomplish. First, however, we must correct some statements the writer has made. The writer suggests that both gun owners and private ranges would be paying a tax to provide funding for public shooting ranges. Austin American-Statesman    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Mike Leggett: "I've tried in every way I can to figure this out, but I just can't. Maybe it's because I listen every afternoon to two hapless bobwhite roosters hopelessly calling for a mate out behind my house. Maybe I look at quail numbers and see an empty game bag. Maybe the folks at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department know something nobody else knows. Maybe they have information that contradicts the overwhelming evidence that quail populations — nationwide — are in long-term, steady decline." More
