Georgia expands guns in public places
The Wall Street Journal
Bars, houses of worship, and other public establishments are wrestling with what to do about a new law in Georgia that will dramatically expand gun-permit holders' right to carry weapons where people congregate. The law allows licensed gun owners to bring weapons to bars and houses of worship, unless forbidden by proprietors. Legally-owned guns also are allowed in unrestricted areas of airports and government buildings, and may be carried at schools and in colleges if permitted by officials.

Sporting clays for waterfowlers
Ducks Unlimited
Skeet and trap are fine for summer shooting practice, but sporting clays are the best way to tune up for duck season. On any sporting clays course there are stations set up to mimic decoying mallards, overhead geese, springing teal and other types of shots commonly encountered while waterfowling. By learning to hit these targets consistently on the course, you can improve your chances on wild ducks and geese in the marsh.

Why the US military made the right decision ditching the M1911
Guns
When the United States military chose the Beretta Model 92 to replace the all-American M1911 as the standard sidearm, people lost their minds. It was as if society forgot about the M16′s failure in Vietnam and all the men who died as a result, did so for nothing. Once again the military bought into some gun company’s marketing hype and ditched a successful design for a smaller-caliber weapon with no perceivable gains.

A guide to the interstate transportation of firearms
AmmoLand
Federal law does not restrict individuals from transporting legally acquired firearms across state lines for lawful purposes. Except those explicitly prohibited by federal law to include convicted felons; persons under indictment for felonies; adjudicated “mental defectives” or those who have been involuntarily committed to mental institutions; illegal drug users; illegal aliens and most nonimmigrant aliens; dishonorably discharged veterans; those who have renounced their U.S. citizenship; fugitives from justice; persons convicted of misdemeanor crimes of domestic violence; and persons subject to domestic violence restraining orders. Therefore, no federal permit is required (or available) for the interstate transportation of firearms.

How to zero your AR-15 rifle
AmmoLand
Bullet trajectory is almost as simple as dropping a brick, except the bullet flies forward where a brick just drops towards the ground. When you fire a bullet, there is no magical force that helps it defeat gravity. In fact, if you fire a bullet from your AR type rifle, perfectly parallel to the ground, the bullet you fire will end up hitting the ground at just about the same time as a bullet you let fall from your hand straight down.

Basic firing first aid
Guns Magazine
Guns are innately dangerous tools. Were we completely honest with ourselves, this is part of the allure. The thrill of harnessing and controlling power is a primal component of the human psyche. It is that same seductive appeal that drives us to race cars, parachute out of airplanes, jump school buses with motorcycles and batter ourselves senseless in the guise of football.
