Fact or fiction: Gunpowder temperature sensitivity
RifleShooter
Some gunpowder has the reputation of being particularly susceptible to variations in temperature. Alliant’s Reloder line is one, for example. Others, such as Hodgdon’s Extreme line, are purposely designed to be stable in extremes of heat and cold. The trouble is, many propellants with a reputation for instability in extreme temperatures are very good powders that make assembling accurate hand loads easy.

We’ve all done it. A bullet gets seated way too deep. You forgot to put powder in the case. You look at your cartridge and don’t see a primer. Or maybe while trying to get the roll crimp just right, you accidentally crush a cartridge neck. Now what?

The bid to change Kroger's policy comes after Bloomberg's groups, including Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, have had mixed results in backing candidates in elections and trying to influence changes in government gun regulations.

The AR-15 for home defense: Reliability
American Rifleman
Reliability issues with AR-style rifles can be divided into those which can be remedied by the user, and those which should be referred to a gunsmith. In general, trigger issues, light hits or other failures to fire, malfunctioning selectors, bolt catches or magazine releases, or problems with damaged, defective or improperly installed components, such as gas tubes, gas blocks, bolt assemblies, carriers and so forth, are all best referred to a gunsmith. Additionally, unless you are buying an AR from a reputable gun shop, it’s a good idea to take any newly acquired rifle to a gunsmith to be checked for function, safety, and proper headspace.

Leschper: Hunters can avoid most accidents by keeping firearms safety in mind
Lubbock-Avalanche Journal
With fall hunting seasons of all varieties set to commence in coming weeks, there are more chances than ever for accidents involving firearms, but most — if not all — can be avoided by erring on the side of caution and trusting your common sense. Too often hunters simply get careless with firearm safety when in fact it is much more important than limiting out or having enough shooting opportunities.
