Diana shooter zeroes in on qualifying for 2012 Olympics

Miranda Wilder of Diana is taking a key step toward participating in the Olympics. She is participating in an Olympic Trial for the U.S. National Shotgun Team at the Hill Country Shooting Center in Kerrville. This is the first of two trials, the second in March in Tucson, Ariz., for the Olympics, which begin July 27. More

Pistol athletes rejoice — the USA's Sergeant First Class Keith Sanderson (Colorado Springs, Colo.) claimed a spot on the podium at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup Final in Wroclaw, Poland. Sanderson, who won the first Men's Rapid Fire quota this year, shot 581 match points. Teammate Emil Milev (Temple Terrace, Fla.) shot 576 match points, and both athletes found themselves in the final. More

Since the Gulf Coast spill occurred, Ducks Unlimited has been urging Congress to support legislation that ensures penalties paid by the parties responsible for the Deepwater Horizon oil spill under the Clean Water Act are directed back to the Gulf Coast region. The Senate will move one step closer towards this goal when the Committee of Environment and Public Works considers the RESTORE the Gulf Coast Act of 2011. More
