NRA Chief lobbyist on Obama's 1998 gun control comments: It isn't surprising
The Daily Caller    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
In the wake of a secret 1998 recording of then Illinois State Sen. Barack Obama pushing for, among other things, gun control, National Rifle Association chief lobbyist Chris W. Cox told The Daily Caller that President Obama opposes the Second Amendment, and will try to do whatever he can to limit firearm ownership in America. "Sadly, this isn't surprising," Cox wrote in an email. More

UN still pushing to take away your Second Amendment rights
AmmoLand    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
We can all breathe a sigh of relief that the Obama administration was forced to pull out of signing the Arms Trade Treaty in July. Following its actions, China and Russia also balked. So congratulations, once again, are in order — as your hard work paid off handsomely. Over 50 U.S. Senators signed a letter opposing this abomination! But don't think the UN has pulled back from its unremitting efforts to destroy your constitutional rights. More

FINALLY, a gun lubricant exists that can withstand the most extreme conditions.
After using Safari Charlie Gun Lube Plus, Floro Lavalle with Sierra Outfitters in Argentina reported cleanings were much easier, they were needed less frequently and field jamming went down to almost non-existent. While these statements may seem generic and boring, consider that they shoot on average 2000-5000 rounds per day per gun, OVER 1 MILLION ROUNDS PER YEAR, and pair that with Lavalle’s full season of using Safari Charlie Gun Lube Plus. His report was an 83% reduction in repair/replacement costs. MORE...

The new gun culture
Human Events    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
From Richard L. Johnson: The gun community has forever changed. Once in a supposed slow decline, the popularity of shooting and gun ownership has come roaring back during the past couple of decades. Sales of firearms are setting all kinds of records, and gun ranges are frequently packed with people. Michael Bane calls the latest generation of gun owners "Gun Culture 2.0," which I find to be an exceptionally apt description. More

Ryan: 'I am happy to be clinging to my guns and my religion'
NSSF (blog)    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Barack Obama would like us all to forget his derisive 2008 insult about clinging to guns and religion, but Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan took the statement as a challenge. In an interview with Deer & Deer Hunting magazine Ryan proudly notes that, "From a guy who goes to St. John Vianney over there, whose tree stand is over about six miles that direction and that direction, this Catholic deer hunter is guilty as charged and proud of that." Lone Star Outdoor News    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
The question has been asked by many a duck hunter during early teal season: Why are we shooting only hens?
