San Antonio selected to host IPW marketplace in 2023

The U.S. Travel Association announced recently that San Antonio has been selected as host of the 2023 IPW conference, considered the travel industry's premier international marketplace. It will be San Antonio's inaugural opportunity to host the event, which attracts nearly 2,400 travel organizations and domestic and international buyers from more than 70 countries. When it arrives in Texas, it will mark the first time in two decades that IPW has returned to the state.

Brand USA — the nation's destination-marketing organization — generated more than 2 million incremental visitors to the U.S. from around the globe over the past two years, according to a new study by Oxford Economics. That's because, at least relatively speaking, it isn't expensive. A gallon of regular gasoline is currently averaging $2.75 nationwide, about 90-cent cheaper than it was a year ago at this time.

Mobile ad spend takes off slowly in travel industry

Now, tweets and Twitter accounts will be featured on Google search results. They're currently rolling the feature out on mobile browsers and through the Google app. The desktop version will be debuting soon.
