Cheaper summer gas prices are forecast

The Energy Information Administration lowered its forecast for summer 2013 gasoline prices. U.S. drivers will pay an average 16 cents a gallon less for gasoline this summer compared with a year ago, the statistical arm of the Energy Department said in its most recent Short-Term Energy Outlook.

Obama administration releases new guidelines on federal travel, conferences

The U.S. Office of Management and Budget last week provided federal agencies with additional guidance on travel and conferences, according to the American Society of Association Executives, which along with other industry associations met with agency officials in March to draft a protocol for meeting planners to use in organizing meetings attended by federal employees.
