McAuliffe veto of Garret's loaded long guns in vehicles likely to stand
VSSA
SB1137, which was sponsored by Sen. Tom Garrett, would have allowed concealed handgun permit holders to have a loaded shotgun or rifle in their vehicle. Currently, some localities allow this practice and others don't, creating a patchwork of laws that can ensnare unwary gun owners. Garrett was attempting to make a uniform standard across the Commonwealth. Gov. Terry McAuliffe vetoed the bill on March 27.

Moms Demand Action mocks NRA for following gun laws in Nashville, Tennessee
Breitbart
On April 6, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America mocked the NRA for planning to follow state and local laws regarding gun possession and display at the upcoming NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits in Nashville, Tennessee. Moms Demand Action did this based on the fact that display guns at vendor's booths are required to have their firing pins removed. Once Moms Demand Action saw that this was the case, they then mocked the NRA for "being OK with loaded guns on playgrounds and in bars and school, but not at their convention."

How to clean your over-and-under shotgun
By Irwin Greenstein
The best way to ensure the longevity and performance of your over-and-under shotgun is to keep it clean. That might sound like an onerous chore, but you can effectively clean an over-and-under in less than 20 minutes on your kitchen counter. The biggest culprits that foul your shotgun are residues from the shotgun shells. Lead, plastic and gas residues accumulate inside the barrel, potentially affecting the patterns of your ammunition and accuracy of your shots. Meanwhile, the receiver tends to collect powder deposits inside that build up over time.

Although we shoot our defensive pistol at center mass, shooting it precisely is also important. Shooting groups with a pistol is fun and also helps us develop better trigger control and trigger reset ability. Trigger reset is the amount of return your finger allows on the trigger until it clicks or resets for the next shot. This of course pertains to semi-autos but is part of trigger control.
