Slide Fire 'Bump Fire' stock
VSSA
I saw this product at the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits this weekend and it had to be one of the neatest things I saw, mainly because it is a product that allows those who can't afford to own an National Firearms Act class firearm (i.e. fully automatic rifle) the ability to come about as close as possible to owning and shooting one. It is manufactured by Slide Fire and the way it was explained to me, uses "Slide Stock" technology to provide shooters the ability to "Bump Fire" the rifle. The shooter must push forward to discharge each round.

At the NRA meeting: Come for the guns, stay for the camaraderie
NPR
Ben Pickering can't believe his luck. "Holy cow," he keeps saying. "Man, that's just incredible. That's just amazing." Pickering won a drawing for an Ambush rifle, an $1,800 AR-15-style model. Pickering already has a lot of weapons — "I honestly could not count," he says — but he's still excited to be given this new one. Pickering loves guns, but he's also happy that the National Rifle Association's annual meeting, being held in Indianapolis, has given him the chance to meet up with family members who live in other states.

Darlene Cahill, a well-dressed redhead sporting a form-fitting gold jacquard skirt, touches my arm as I'm wandering the testosterone-filled aisles of the National Rifle Association's national convention. "I'm packing," Cahill declares, straightening up. "Can you tell where?"

Hunters, shooters plan to keep spending
The Shooting Wire
While pundits may still be arguing over how much of an economic recovery the United States has experienced since the recent recession, companies that make and sell shooting and hunting products have been fortunate to enjoy a steady stream of business. For 2014, outside of firearms, things don't look like they are going to slow down either. According to a recent HunterSurvey.com poll, the majority of shooters and hunters expect to spend as much on shooting and hunting equipment as they did last year.

NRA seeks universal gun law at national meeting
KIII-TV
With concealed weapons now legal in all 50 states, the National Rifle Association's focus at the annual meeting is less about enacting additional state protections than on making sure the permits already issued still apply when the gun owners travel across the country.

Semi-autos for concealed carry
Gun Digest
As with revolvers, selecting a semi-automatic handgun from a prominent manufacturer who has a proven track record of a decade or two in business is a good idea. While everyone likes to have something that is unique, the more mainstream your defense handgun, the easier it will be for you to find a wide variety of accessories like holsters, sights, replacement magazines and grips, to say nothing of repair parts in the event of breakage.

Comparing different types of turkey calls
By John McAdams
Since spring turkey season overlaps with mating season for turkeys in most of the United States, imitating turkey vocalizations is the most popular and most effective technique used by turkey hunters to call in a big gobbler. There are a wide variety of turkey calls available on the market today, and I hope to provide some useful information on the advantages and disadvantages of each in this article.

Bloomberg is his own worst enemy on gun-control
Town Hall
At first, it looked like an epic-fail for Michael Bloomberg's new gun control group, Everytown For Gun Safety. Deciding that they should organize a protest outside of the NRA annual meeting in Indianapolis, gun control advocates "flocked" to show their disdain for American gun-owners. But, there was only one problem: With a mere 25 people deciding to show up for one of the local rallies, the "protest" looked more like an OFA global warming meeting.

America's elites love fear mongering about gun policy
The Federalist
For all its braggadocio about being the political faction dedicated to "science" and reason and fact-driven opinion and intelligence, the elitist left is remarkably uneducated and illiterate when it comes to firearms. It is common knowledge that progressives are prone to using terms like "military-style assault weapon" without grasping what such terms even mean; it is equally well-known that they are unable to grasp firearm terminology to the point where they can tell the difference between a magazine and a clip.
