India's Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is planning to send 20 notices to an undisclosed number of operators regarding proposed license cancellations, the Indian Economic Times reports. Citing telecom secretary R Chandrashekhar, the report claims that the next round of notices will follow on from those that the regulator issued earlier this month, which called for the cancellation of Etisalat DB's concessions in the Mumbai and Delhi circles and Idea Cellular's concession in Punjab; the notices claimed that neither operator had met their respective roll-out obligations.

Ukraine's National Commission for Communications Regulation has decided to hold a tender for licenses to use additional 800MHz band radio frequencies in the Sumy, Cherkasy and Chernivtsi regions for mobile CDMA-based services, reports Delo.ua.
