AT&T Poised to Launch LTE in NYC in June?

According to US website IntoMobile.com, AT&T is planning to introduce commercial LTE services on June 30. Quoting "a trusted source," the site reports that the cellco's fourth generation network is set to go live in New York City on that date. Further, the same source has indicated that AT&T's LTE network will be lit up in Los Angeles on July 24. AT&T has yet comment on the speculation.More
Clearwire Drops 16% on Intel Plan to Sell 10 Million Shares

Clearwire, the provider of high-speed wireless service, tumbled the most in almost two years after Intel Corp. said it would sell up to 10 million shares of the company's Class A stock. Ericsson to Create LTE Network in Korea

Ericsson is creating an ultra-high speed LTE commercial service network in South Korea for LG U+. The company has signed a commercial contract with LG U+ to build the network, through its local entity, LG-Ericsson
The deal will allow LG U+ to support the existing CDMA and the new 4G LTE mobile service concurrently, becoming the one of first LTE service providers in Korea, including upgraded data speeds and service quality.More

Ofcom Says LTE Will Support Fivefold Efficiency Gains

Improved spectral efficiency and small cells will be key to supporting the mobile data explosion, says a report from U.K. regulator Ofcom. The agency believes LTE will deliver 3.3 times more spectral efficiency in its first generation and 5.5 times by 2020.
