For most pet stores, the nature of the business is dog food sales, live animals and a lot of other interesting fragrances. The federal Bureau of Labor Statistics does not break out employment statistics for mobile pet groomers, but its most recent analysis of the "animal care and service workers" sector indicates robust growth for animal care workers, groomers and others.

Pet Supplies Plus signs new franchise deals

Capitalizing on the $58 billion pet industry, Pet Supplies Plus, the 26-year-old Livonia, Michigan-based, 300-store-strong pet retailer, opened 10 franchise and 20 corporate stores in 2014 for 10 percent growth and a new presence in two states.
