The Washington Post

Why you should carry spiders at your pet store
By Kevin Plazak
Recently, I was asked to stock and sell tarantulas. In my mind, this translated to "pay money for spiders." Big, hairy spiders. Things that get my wife jumping on furniture to get away from them while screaming for me to kill them. I didn't take the request all that seriously and ignored it. Just as baby names rise and fall in popularity, so do names for our furry, four-legged friends. In recent years, traditional pet names like Fido, Fluffy and Rover have been replaced by popular baby names. In fact, a 2013 report by John Lewis Pet Insurance, which looked at 50,000 cat and dog names, found that the top 10 pet names were also among the 70 most popular baby names.

Managing your online reputation
Christina Thielst
Social channels provide tremendous opportunities to use your voice and find others with similar interests.
