Maryland retail pet store warranty bill to be heard March 27

Maryland House Bill 131 on pet warranties is set to be heard March 27 at 1:00 p.m. before the Senate Finance Committee. HB 131 has already passed the House of Representatives. The Senate passed its companion, Senate Bill 317, with amendments provided by the pet industry. As currently written, HB 131 would require retail pet stores to give reimbursements of up to two times the cost of veterinary fees. More
