Pennsylvania adopts final kennel regulations

The Pennsylvania Independent Regulatory Review Commission held a public hearing on Aug. 19, 2010 to review a regulation promulgated by the Department of Agriculture implementing amendments to the Dog Law that went into effect last year. Those amendments were passed in the form of House Bill 2525 in 2008. The new regulation imposes substantive standards on ventilation requirements, lighting and flooring in commercial kennels. More

Bill prohibiting declawing, debarking as condition of tenancy advances

Fressnapf acquires Pet Vision

Effective Jan. 1, 2011, the Fressnapf Group will become the sole proprietor of its Swiss subsidiary Pet Vision. Rolf Styger, managing director of Pet Vision, will sell his shares in the company to Fressnapf owner Torsten Toeller, according to a press release by Fressnapf. Toeller held 35 percent of the shares in the Swiss company hitherto. More
