Bad teeth? Blame your genes
CNN
Remember "The Big Book of British Smiles" from "The Simpsons"? The dentist used it to scare children into proper dental hygiene. And let's be honest, it was funny! Because though British tea and good manners have an excellent international reputation, British teeth are mostly used as a punch line. But tooth decay is far from only a British problem — in fact, it's one of the most common chronic disease worldwide.

Hey, get off the phone!
By Tija Hunter, CDA, EFDA, CDIA, FADAA
Each day in the United states on average nine people die and over 1,000 people are injured due to texting and driving. We have become obsessed! The fact that we get distracted while "texting" no matter what other activity we are involved in is an understatement. Have you ever been in a conversation with someone and they receive a text message, pick up their phone and read the message and begin texting back, totally ignoring you? You're like "Hey, weren't you talking to me?" Sometime just look around the room you're in and on average, over half the room will have their heads down, looking at their phones.

Dental Products Report
Throughout her illustrious and storied career as a dental practice management consultant, Linda Miles has seen a lot of things that can negatively impact a dental practice. FDA changes recommendations on lidocaine for teething pain
Dental Tribune
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that a box warning on prescription products containing viscous lidocaine solution is now required that states that such products should not be used to treat teething pain in children. Dentists pair free wine with root canals to take 'edge off' patients during dental procedures, but is it safe?
Medical Daily
Most of us dread scheduling our six-month dental checkups and the dental work that comes with it. Patients can now serve themselves a complimentary glass of red or white wine, and sip at their leisure, while waiting to get a root canal or other dental procedures — a service offered by several New York City dental offices.
