A pathway for enhanced career opportunities for
dental assistants

ADAA
As dental assistants, you are very special individuals who contribute significantly to the health and welfare of the patients you serve. As you are aware, it is necessary to continue your education as a life long learner and as a dental professional to keep current with new treatment techniques, materials and protocols. Although many states require varying degrees of continuing education credits for credential renewal to help assure best practices and protection of the public, you should also be mindful of the many educational opportunities available to you through completion of academic credit coursework toward advanced degrees. In addition to enhancing your dental expertise through continuing education, many academic credit courses are available on site and via the Internet to enhance your skill set for personal and professional development and to enhance future employment opportunities.
