Gary M. Massenzio is the Andersen Windows Architectural Representative for New Jersey. He has been a part of the organization for over 20 years.
Gary has enjoyed the building industry since he was a teen. He supported himself through high school and college as a remodeling contractor. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Pre-Law, Gary entered the New Jersey National Guard and served from 1968-1974.

A pair of culinary arts classrooms got a jump start on their redesign thanks to a $5,000 grant earned by the West Morris Central High School Architecture, Design & Engineering students.
The students, under the direction of Frances Zegar, developed a $5,000 STEM grant proposal for BASF that initiated a redesign of the two culinary arts classrooms into a high-tech suite, complete with an attached greenhouse.

If modern politics has shown us anything, it is that even in the era of the supposed "global citizen," issues of place and identity remain connected in powerful ways. The recent election campaign in my home country of the U.K. was testament to this. "Placemaking" is all the rage in urbanist circles today. But it seems to me that the concept of "place" needs rescuing from its current status as either meaningless buzzword or tool of a divisive nationalism to be a much more progressive guiding principle for what comes next in our neighborhoods.
