Only a special few architects can truly say they enjoy reading building codes. There's no doubt that it's daunting and it can certainly pose challenges to your design. Over time you'll likely become familiar with the types of things you need to look out for on a project, but even the most experienced architects may still need to double-check a code question or two during the design process (or have an intern check it for them.)
Unfortunately, many code documents are unwieldy to say the least, and there are few cases in which this is more true than the 279-page ADA Standards for Accessible Design. However, once you understand the layout and how to use a code book or the ADA guidelines, they become more manageable.

Business leaders, U.S. mayors, even the head of Goldman Sachs agree that President Donald Trump's decision to pull out of the historic Paris accord to battle climate change is a terrible one, and have agreed to double down on efforts to combat global warming. The dominant role once occupied by the city planner is under threat. A new paradigm of participative planning is challenging the "business as usual" process for shaping our urban spaces. The modernists of the 1960s rarely consulted the people who would live inside their grand vision — they merely implemented it. Today, participative planning — whereby members of the community work with designers, architects and planners to decide on the future of cities — is fast becoming the norm.

It's true that trends come and go, yet some have staying power that become the new standards of doing business for decades into the future.
The current status of the growing economy, the shortage of qualified workers and public-sector financing are transforming the way that construction professionals approach jobs. Beth Ann Bovino, chief U.S. Economist for Standard & Poor's Rating Services, has said that the economy is nearing a state of normalcy because of lower unemployment rates, growing worker confidence and the growth of construction projects.
