President Unveils Free Community College Plan
On Jan. 9, the White House unveiled a proposal to make two years of community college free for many students. At the same time, President Barack Obama announced a new American Technical Training Fund to prepare Americans for better-paying jobs by connecting skills development to the needs of employers.

NBAA Upbeat about Working with Senators Thune, Nelson on FAA Reauthorization

NBAA looks forward to working with two strong supporters of general aviation in the newly seated 114th Congress. Sens. John Thune (R-SD) and Bill Nelson (D-FL) now hold the top positions in the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, which among other things, will take up reauthorization of the FAA.

AOPA Announces Five New Fly-In Locations for 2015
Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association
AOPA has announced plans for five new fly-ins in 2015 following the success of last year's inaugural events. AOPA's 2015 Fly-Ins are scheduled for California's Salinas Municipal Airport (SNS) on May 16, Minnesota's Anoka County-Blaine Airport (ANE) on Aug. 22, Colorado's Colorado Springs Municipal Airport (COS) on Sept. 26, and Tennessee's Tullahoma Regional Airport (THA) on Oct. 10.
