ARSA Requests More Time to Investigate Testing Policies
On April 23, ARSA followed the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Airlines for America (A4A) in requesting the FAA extend the comment period to the Advanced Notice of Proposed Rule Making (ANPRM) concerning foreign drug and alcohol testing laws and the aviation industry's best practices for preventing employees from misusing controlled substances.

AAR Secures Contract with Aeromexico to Perform Heavy Maintenance

Grant Park Global recently announced that AAR, a global aerospace and defense contractor that employs more than 6,000 people in 17 countries, has secured a contract with Aeromexico to provide heavy maintenance, or C checks, on three of the airline's Boeing 767 aircraft. AAR will perform the work at the Indianapolis Maintenance Center, its largest maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in the U.S., located on the Indianapolis airport.
