FAA Extension Inevitable as Deadline Looms

Colorado's Ready-To-Fly Dronemakers Stalled by MIA Federal Rules
The Denver Post
Fifteen of the first 500 FAA exemptions permitting commercial drones to fly were granted in Colorado. But enabling those and other waiting businesses to spur an estimated $232 million in economic impact — and create more than 1,190 jobs — in Colorado by 2017 hinges on long-delayed rules based on a 1946 U.S. Supreme Court case filed by a poultry farmer.

HAECO Makes Expansion Plan Official

Officials: Debris Is from Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370
The Hill
Debris recently recovered from the Indian Ocean was part of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, Malaysia's prime minister confirmed. "We now have physical evidence that, as I announced on 24th March last year, flight MH370 tragically ended in the southern Indian Ocean," Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said.

Senate Report Calls for Crackdown on Airlines' Hidden Fees

Airlines aren't telling the whole truth about their fares, a report issued today by the Senate found. The research, released by the minority staff of the Senate Commerce Committee, revealed that so-called "ancillary" fees, such as change, preferred seating, and cancellation penalties, are increasingly keeping consumers in the dark about the true cost of air travel.
