Sequestration will hit FAA operations, White House says

The FAA could see its budget slashed by more than $1 billion if sequestration goes ahead as planned according to the White House Office of Management and Budget. OMB reported that the FAA will have its $15.9 billion budget reduced by $1.04 billion annually, stating that the FAA's "ability to oversee and manage the Nation's airspace and air traffic control will be reduced." More

The PPC tells of the maintenance industry's important role in ensuring a safe and efficient global civil aviation system, and it alerts lawmakers and other key audiences to facts about the industry's economic and employment benefits through important research projects.

However, repair stations remain a favorite target of those seeking to disparage the aviation system. Through the PPC, ARSA actively counters misinformed stories about the industry's safety record and regulatory compliance.

Agencies must provide the public with notice and an opportunity for comment before their rules change. Your input matters.
