House Votes to Extend FAA Authorization

The House of Representatives recently voted to extend current Federal aviation programs and taxes through the end of March, 2010. H.R. 4217, the “Fiscal Year 2010 Federal Aviation Administration Extension Act, Part II,” was approved by voice vote.

India-US Aviation Partnership Summit Inaugurated in U.S.
The Second India-U.S. Aviation Partnership Summit is being held in the U.S. It was inaugurated on Dec. 7, 2009 and will conclude on Dec. 9, 2009 in Washington D.C. India is being represented by the Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Shri M. Madhavan Nambiar, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Dr. Naseem Zaidi and the Chairman of Airports Authority of India, Shri V.P. Agrawal. Over 200 representatives of over 80 companies are participating in the Summit in addition to government delegations.

Delta in Tokyo Maintenance Deal

TIMCO Line Care Begins Maintenance Service at Burbank
TIMCO Aviation Services recently announced that as of Nov. 24th, the company’s TIMCO Line Care division began offering line maintenance and GSE maintenance services to airlines operating at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California. TIMCO has nearly 20 locations at strategic key airports throughout the U.S. and will be announcing a number of new locations in the near future.
