You may remember a post by Andre Vicente Goncalves, a Portuguese computer-scientist-turned-photographer who traveled the world taking pictures of windows that he then compiled into beautiful collages.
Not content to stop at windows, the globe-trotting photographer now brings us a whole new project that focuses on a different subject: doors.
Much like his previous project, his latest project, titled Doors of the World, follows a similar theme by making use of collages to present his beautifully colorful findings.

Confidence among U.S. homebuilders held in March at a nine-month low as sales prospects waned, a sign the housing market may be struggling to accelerate as the spring-selling season approaches.
The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo builder sentiment index was 58 this month, matching the February reading that was the weakest since May, figures from the Washington-based group showed. Nonetheless, readings greater than 50 mean more respondents reported good market conditions.

Construction is facing a severe skills shortage at all levels of the industry. According to a December survey by Building Design + Construction, the lack of experienced professionals and project managers is creating a hiring crisis that has "stymied" architecture/engineering/construction firms in the U.S.
The labor shortage was a common conversation subject during the Associated General Contractors Convention in San Antonio, TX. Ken Simonson, chief economist for the AGC, called the worker shortage "the biggest financial challenge for firms" during a session recently.
