AWDI
Tilt 'n turn windows provide two open positions: The tilt position provides draft-free ventilation and worry-free rain protection. In the turn position, tilt and turn windows act like casement windows, swinging their full glass area open. These windows have dual hardware to allow them to pivot in from the top using bottom hinge system, or to swing from the side using a jamb hinge setup. The control is obtained using the handle, which when turned one way will allow the tilt and turned the other way will allow the in-swing.
Doors have their own version of tilt 'n turn, and there are unique folding doors offering full openings. There are few, if any, installation instructions and AWDI was asked to prepare a full set of instructions by a world's best supplier for the U.S. market. The result is in the current AWDI Training Manual and has been accepted by EPA/Energy Star, and referenced by so many manufacturers, dealers and installers — and in AWDI's Certification Program.
There are five critical keys to successful installation of these unique products.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will launch on Aug. 1, the Injury Tracking Application. The Web-based form allows employers to electronically submit required injury and illness data from their completed 2016 OSHA Form 300A. The application will be accessible from the ITA webpage.
Last month, OSHA published a notice of proposed rulemaking to extend the deadline for submitting 2016 Form 300A to Dec. 1, to allow affected entities sufficient time to familiarize themselves with the electronic reporting system, and to provide the new administration an opportunity to review the new electronic reporting requirements prior to their implementation.

Construction Today

In March 2016, Turner Construction fell victim to a spear phishing scheme when an unscrupulous employee sent tax information on current and former employees through a fraudulent email account, according to iSqFt. The act resulted in massive leaks of employees' Social Security numbers, places of residence, tax withholding information and first and last names, among other proprietary information.
