Forty percent of utility bills are spent on heating and cooling, and the Department of Energy estimates that as much as $35 billion in energy costs are lost annually through inefficient windows. They aren't kidding: EPA fines over 35 companies for violations of the RRP Rule
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has taken enforcement actions that will require 35 home renovation contractors and training providers to take additional steps to protect communities by minimizing harmful lead dust from home renovation activities, as required by the EPA’s Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting Standards. These actions are in addition to the fines levied against Lowes Stores. They aren’t kidding. The rules are in place to protect families, children and workers.

Bill Jones started to reveal the surprise in the vaulted family room by pulling back retractable glass walls that separate the family room from a large living and dining room that the Joneses refer to as the lanai.
