There seems to be nothing more vanilla than a white, vinyl, replacement window. Sure, there are differences, and advancements during the last 50 years have added to the impressive performance and energy savings of today's R-5 PVC window.
But since there are a limited number of major lineal providers, and even fewer major glass providers, serving 600+ manufacturers, there seems to be only a few possible choices. That's the trouble — nothing new to differentiate one window choice over another — especially to a customer base where there is little or no brand preference and where replacement windows are most often a once-in-a-lifetime purchase.
Industry blockbuster "sizzles" like welded vinyl frame, low-E gas-filled glass, warm edge spacer, etc., had their day where those who offered these innovations prevailed against those who didn't. Now everyone seems to be selling the same thing where the go-to differentiator is price. Someone once said: "Differentiate (on something) or die (on price)," and that explains so much of the challenge in today's market.
AWDI, in collaboration with MarketSharp, provide an answer, — a real "steak with sizzle" answer — they will share in a FREE webinar on Aug. 24.

Employers shouldn't hurry to file their annual injury and illness summaries electronically with OSHA even though the agency began accepting reports Aug. 1, employer-side attorneys are recommending.
Employers can delay filing until the Dec. 1 deadline, while the Trump administration reviews the Obama-era Labor Department rule and court cases challenge the regulation. This is the first time hundreds of thousands of employers are required to report electronically and many have raised concerns about whether the data would be publicly available. They fear that the public data would be used by unions and others to critique their safety performance and reveal information on the number of workers employed.
