It used to be that home improvement couldn't be bought without the help of a contractor who could not only do the work, but explain the features and benefits of the products and changes you wanted, as well as also show you samples and recommendations from previous jobs and customers.
Who needs that any longer? What used to be "contractor imparted knowledge" has become "customer acquired knowledge" and home improvement contractors no longer control the sale because they no longer control the information.

Luxury home prices inched up 0.8 percent in the second quarter of 2016 compared to last year, to an average of $1.66 million, according to a new analysis from Redfin. The quarterly analysis tracks luxury sales in more than 1,000 cities across the country and defines a home as luxury if it is among the top 5 percent most expensive homes sold in each city.
