The Earlybird deadline for registration for the upcoming CAFE Convention, scheduled for November 19-21 in Niagara Fall is July 15th…just around the corner! You can mail your registration or simply visit the CAFE website, complete a registration there, and pay by credit card. Plan to arrive a day early, as our host, the CNE, is planning to offer a tour of the area for those who are interested. This is a great opportunity to explore the beautiful and historic Niagara Region.

April 2015: Analyzing the statistics on travel to Canada

Despite a fluctuation in some markets caused by an earlier Easter holiday, the latest Tourism Snapshot from Destination Canada (DC)'s Research department, shows that more than 3.3 million international travellers came to Canada in the first four months of 2015, a six per cent rise on the previous year.

Federal government still mum on Canada 2017 celebrations

With barely 18 months to go until Canada's sesquicentennial year, the federal government has still not determined how it will celebrate the country's 150th birthday in the National Capital Region. Through the Canada 150 Fund, the government has pledged to spend $210 million on events, activities and celebrations across Canada between now and 2017.

Maritime Fall Fair in need of new home

The Maritime Fall Fair is homeless after a facility assessment of Trade Centre Ltd.'s Exhibition Park revealed $9 million in needed repairs. Trade Centre spokeswoman Erin Esiyok-Prime said the winter was hard on Exhibition Park, a four-building complex on Prospect Road in Halifax designed for exhibitions, trade shows, public events, dinners and weddings.

Orono Ram Rodeo rides into town first weekend of July

After a hugely successful first year, Orono is saddling up to host the second annual Orono Ram Rodeo on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5 at the Orono Fairgrounds. "By no means is this the Calgary Stampede, but it's a preview for the Calgary Stampede," said Brad Found, past-president of the Orono Agricultural Society and co-chairman of the rodeo.
