Pacific National Exhibition kicks off
You're invited to celebrate at B.C.'s legendary fair the PNE! With hundreds of new performances and exhibits and more than 50 thrilling rides and attractions and all that food this year's fresh new Fair at the PNE is definitely the best part of summer.
Just a few of the new attractions this year include: the Broadway Musical, Peter Pan; a Beatles Memorabilia Exhibition; Dinosaurs Alive! A Jurassic Experience; and a Craft Beer Fest.

A sure-fire sign that summer is almost over, the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition is less than a week away. Steve Pottie, general manager of the exhibition, said this year's event will be more of an educational one for visitors.
"When you go to a lot of these fairs, there are a lot of animals but no real explanations," he said. "This year, our clear aim is to educate more people. This is an agricultural fair first and foremost. There are less farms these days, yet agriculture has to go on. We need agriculture to survive. This is a huge event for us."

121st Vancouver Island Exhibition in Nanaimo
Perfect weather and a mix of entertainment was enough to draw large crowds to this years's agricultural exhibition in Nanaimo.
The fair celebrated its 121st year after opening for the first time in 1894.
"This is our first time at the fair, we're having a wonderful time. It's very educational. My son enjoyed seeing the barn and the animals," Darah Kidd told CHEK News.
