Many of them have already been held, the biggest of them all is underway this week, the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo. Make no mistake it’s a fall fair and a great one. A couple of the storied ones, the must hits, like Simcoe are still to come. Fall fairs have a history that dates back hundreds of years, organized as they were as a way of celebrating and improving the fruits of the seasons and the skills it takes to grow them.

Wainfleet Fall Fair fun for everyone

The weather was in full cooperation last Saturday as families descended on Wainfleet participating in the 2015 Fall Fair. "Today is perfect weather for a fair," Dave Wyatt, Wainfleet Fall Fair President said. "We have good crowds, we are having probably the best packed day that we could have imagined."

Heritage Fall Fair in Merville goes Oct. 4

The inaugural Heritage Fall Fair at the Merville Hall goes Sunday, Oct. 4 from noon to 9 p.m. Organizers say it promises to be a bushel full of fun for the whole family. "It may sound crazy to have a gumboot event in the actual fall, but, that is just how crazy we are down at the Big Yellow Merville Hall," a spokesperson said.

Fun filled day at the 2015 Bella Coola Valley Fall Fair

It was a fun filled day at this years Fall Fair on Sept 13th. The weather was cooperative, and the crowd was large. The day started off with a great parade. There were children dressed up like Lego and block characters, four great floats, and many pretty horses with good-lookin' riders.
