CARWACS Toronto starts next week - Free admission for CCA members

Carwash owners and operators as well as industry suppliers attending the 2015 Convenience U CARWACS trade show in Toronto should consider visiting the Canadian Carwash Association (CCA) booth on the exhibit floor. Amongst the many exhibitors, the CCA booth will be of interest to both suppliers and carwash owners as the Association represents the carwash industry as a whole. The CCA staff on-site can offer you more information about our professional association, while also providing you with details on the CCA workshop presentations at CARWACS.

Maritime CCA Member provides input on car washing in the midst of winter

This frigid season has allowed most Canadians to hone their shovelling, salting and general snow-removing skills to expert levels. Another item on this seasonal "to-do list" is taking care of your vehicle.

In a recent issue of Auto & Trucking Atlantic, CCA member Gordon Ryan of Maritime Car Wash shares with readers the importance of winter car washing, new carwash technology and environmental benefits of professional carwashes.

Member News: CCA Annual General Meeting on March 11, 2015
Canadian Carwash Association
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Canadian Carwash Association (CCA) will be held at 9 a.m. ET on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. Members of the CCA are encouraged to attend in person, but proxy forms can be mailed or faxed in advance to the CCA National Office. Members will need to vote to approve proposed By-law changes at the AGM. For more information, please visit the AGM page on the CCA website.

Meaford council approves new gas station/car wash

Meaford council has approved a new gas station/car wash/convenience store proposal for the Highway 26 property next to Tim Horton's. Council at its committee of the whole meeting on Feb. 9 gave approval to a preliminary site plan for the gas station proposal. The new business will be built on the vacant lot between Tim Horton's and the Deli Restaurant plaza.

Winter car washes prevent damage
