Keep your carwash safe
CarWash.com
Carwash owners must contend with a variety of issues to keep their businesses profitable. While the business offers many different freedoms for owners, issues such as vandalism and theft must be dealt with. The absence of attendants at many carwashes makes these businesses common targets for these crimes. In order to prevent and catch these offenders, many carwash owners rely on surveillance systems as extra pairs of eyes. Credit card of the future could stop fraud
CNN Money
As banks seek to reduce fraud, one credit card maker has a prototype with a constantly-changing code on the back. CNNMoney received an early model from the French company Oberthur Technologies. Expect it in 2017 if it catches on with major banks. The mini ink screen is powered by a lithium-ion battery (like a phone) the size of a postage stamp that's designed to last three years. Business Barometer: Confidence rebounds in March
CFIB
March brought in some warmer perspectives from small business owners. CFIB's Business Barometer® Index rose about a point and a half this month, but remains at a subdued 61.5 across Canada. Perhaps the good news this month is that optimism appears to have halted its slide in the major energy producing provinces. It generally remains low in those areas, but really no worse than February levels. In the rankings by region, small businesses in Alberta (48.1), Saskatchewan (52.7) and Newfoundland and Labrador (56.7), along with those in Manitoba (54.6) occupy the bottom four spots.
