The directive Friday follows a pair of derailments in a Saskatchewan municipality less than two months apart, the latest one on Feb. 6 spilling 1.6 million litres of crude oil and sparking a massive fire.

The company said the board of directors made the decisions because it expects global travel restrictions won't be completely lifted for months and that it will take years until worldwide demand for air travel returns to levels before the coronavirus crisis.
