U.S. companies on the front line of the trade war are increasingly pessimistic about President Donald Trump's strategy to boost their sales in the Chinese market, according to a new survey by a leading business organization.
Of the 333 members taking part in an annual survey by the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, 75 percent said they opposed the U.S. using tariffs, up from 69 percent a year ago.

The Association of American Railroads (AAR) reported U.S. rail traffic for the week ending September 7, 2019.
For this week, total U.S. weekly rail traffic was 469,285 carloads and intermodal units, down 6.6 percent compared with the same week last year.
Total carloads for the week ending September 7 were 238,988 carloads, down 5.6 percent compared with the same week in 2018, while U.S. weekly intermodal volume was 230,297 containers and trailers, down 7.5 percent compared to 2018.

Cargolux Airlines International has transported a 10-metre long shaft weighing 43 tonnes from Luxembourg to Zhengzhou, the largest piece moved to its Chinese hub.
