Canadian Resort Development Association Announces Cornerstone Award Winner
The Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA), the trade group representing the Canadian vacation ownership industry, announced that Whistler Vacation Club has won the association's first annual Cornerstone Award.
Last week CRDA held VO-Con, The Vacation Ownership Conference.

The Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA), the trade group representing the Canadian vacation ownership industry, recently elected its 2013-14 slate of officers to serve on its national board.
At its recent meeting, the Board unanimously elected Chris Thompson as Chair, Ed Romanowski as Vice-Chair and Dan Pichette as Secretary.

New Director Joins National Board of the Canadian Resort Development Association
The Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA), the trade group representing the Canadian vacation ownership industry, recently elected one new member and re-elected five directors to serve on its national board.
At its recent meeting, the Board unanimously elected Graham McMillan. Graham is the first Supplier Member to serve on the CRDA Board. Re-elected as Directors were Dan Pichette, Ed Romanowski, Marlene Scott,Karl Sigerist and Chris Thompson.
Timeshare business booming at Wyndham Worldwide
Wyndham Worldwide's third-quarter profit rose 18 per cent to $187 million on stronger performance by its vacation-ownership division and higher demand for the Wyndham and Microtel hotel brands.
Wyndham said that revenue rose 13 per cent to $1.43 billion, beating the $1.36 billion average estimate of analysts polled in a Thomson Reuters survey.

Attending the AOCAP Conference in Hong Kong along with industry delegates from the Asia Pacific region, CEO of DAE, Francis Taylor, said the global exchange company was prepared for the growth of the Asian timeshare and vacation ownership market with a strong presence in the region.
Push for timesharing in Jamaican hotels
Jamaica is among several Caribbean Islands where Interval International, a Miami-based company which provides travel leisure service particularly in the timeshare subsector, is working with hoteliers who are not involved in the timeshare business, to get preferential rates for its members.
Panorama launches Trappers Ridge
Panorama Mountain Village has announced the launch of Trappers Ridge, a new slopeside neighbourhood of single-family homes. Former Panorama CEO Rick Jensen will head up real estate development at the mountain village, which was purchased from the former Intrawest (ITW) resort company that at one time was the largest resort operator in North America, owning Whistler-Blackcomb, Blue Mountain, Mont Tremblant and several American resorts, either outright or as a business partner.
