Join 'Power On'! Authors for a Q&A Discussion

UCLA researchers Jean Ryoo and Jane Margolis will give a brief presentation of their new graphic novel Power On! which was written for and inspired by middle and high school youth as they engage with computer science. Teacher resources that were developed in partnership with Computer Science Teachers Association Equity Fellows will also be discussed. Student ambassadors and teacher collaborators will also share their perspectives on the key topics discussed in the graphic novel, and why they want to see conversations about underrepresentation, ethics in computing, and inequity in CS education explored in LAUSD classrooms.
