Recent statistics from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism reveal that 16.6 million adults aged 18 and older have an alcohol use disorder, including 10.8 million men and 5.8 million women. About 1.3 million adults received treatment for alcoholism at a specialized facility in 2013. At CVS pharmacies in 12 states, friends and family members of people suffering from opiate addiction will now be able to get the overdose reversal drug naloxone without a prescription, the company announced recently. CVS has already similarly expanded access to naloxone in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, meaning CVS pharmacies in 14 states now allow nonprescription purchases of naloxone.

Friending your co-workers on Facebook just became a dicier proposition thanks to a recent decision by a labor tribunal in Australia.
Real estate agent Rachael Roberts filed an application with Australia's Fair Work Commission in order to put a stop to workplace bullying by the agency's principals, husband and wife team James and Lisa Bird. While Roberts sited 18 different incidents in which she claimed she was being bullied, nine were upheld by the Commission, according to News.com, including what may be the most provocative slight of all: that Lisa Bird defriended Roberts on Facebook.
