Legislation would spread word of human trafficking in Florida

Senate Bill 534, and its companion House bill, would require the Department of Transportation to post signs at rest stops and welcome centers advising the public and employees if they or someone they know is the victim of trafficking, to contact the National Human Trafficking Resource Center, an anonymous hot-line, for help and services.

Polk County Sheriffs Office computer crimes detectives arrest 12 men for possession of child pornography and other charges

During the month of February 2015, Polk County Sheriff's Computer Crimes detectives, a Central Florida ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) affiliate, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), conducted investigations, served search warrants, and made 12 arrests during an undercover investigation focusing on the promotion, possession, and distribution of child pornography.
